Data Analyst (AI/Fintech)

Location: On-site in the New York office, United States

What you will do

• Work with stakeholders across the business to scope ambiguous questions, perform analyses, and turn findings into actionable recommendations.
• Develop domain knowledge across multiple verticals and serve as a subject matter expert on data sources and key metrics.
• Build and maintain dbt models by onboarding warehouse data, adding tests and documentation, curating end-user tables, and debugging breakages.
• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure data is accurate and useful for end-users, analysts, and AI agents.
• Maintain consistent metric definitions in the dbt semantic layer and uphold data integrity and governance standards.
• Own BI reporting across verticals including Compliance and GTM, while tuning or deprecating reporting assets as needed.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience as a data analyst, business analyst, analytics engineer, business intelligence engineer, or in a similar role.
• Growth mindset and ability to quickly learn new business domains and product areas in a fast-moving environment.
• Outstanding SQL skills, including comfort debugging complex logic.
• Experience translating data insights into actionable stakeholder recommendations.
• Hands-on experience building models in dbt or similar data transformation frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to audiences with different technical backgrounds.
• Experience using AI to automate repetitive tasks or draft initial analyses, together with curiosity about emerging AI capabilities.
• Experience building or maintaining dashboards in Looker, Omni, Hex, Tableau, or other BI and analytical tools.

• Experience in financial services, banking, technology, or a fast-paced startup.
• Experience supporting multiple verticals or departments simultaneously.
• Experience building a dbt semantic layer and refining a warehouse for human and AI-agent consumption.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and predictive analytics.
