Business Systems Analyst (Personal Insurance Data & Analytics)

Annual base salary: $77,600.00–$128,000.00

What you will do

• Own the requirements definition process for assigned personal insurance initiatives under general supervision.
• Elicit, analyze, specify, communicate, verify, and validate business, system, and implementation requirements.
• Query, analyze, and interpret data to validate assumptions, assess impact, support recommendations, and measure the quality of business analysis work.
• Work with diverse stakeholders and solution delivery teams to prioritize requirements, create shared understanding, resolve conflicts, and maintain alignment with business and IT strategies.
• Manage requirements traceability and changes throughout the project lifecycle; support test strategy, test planning, defect resolution, risk management, and change management.
• Support multiple initiatives, improve analysis processes and deliverables, develop requirements work plans and estimates, and identify dependencies, risks, opportunities, and business value.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in Business Systems or an equivalent area.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically, three years of experience in Business Systems or an equivalent area.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, or another related field.
• Ability to analyze, synthesize, and compare information; identify cause-and-effect relationships; evaluate problems and opportunities; and explore alternative solutions.
• Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style and support group understanding.
• Ability to collaborate in situations with interdependent actions and shared responsibility for results; build and maintain productive relationships and alliances.
• Ability to use knowledge of internal and external factors affecting the property and casualty insurance industry in decision-making.
• Ability to use and maintain proficiency with corporate and job-specific technology, business applications, systems tools, hardware, and software as they evolve.
• Ability to surface and resolve conflicts collaboratively, remain focused amid ambiguity and change, and assess and manage intelligent risks.
• Accountability, initiative, openness to feedback, confidence in presenting recommendations, and ability to work with minimal direction.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience analyzing data with SQL, Excel, or reporting tools.
