Sr Applications Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Braselton, Georgia, United States; office environment.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and document new products for release to manufacturing.
• Manage design and application work across 15+ concurrent projects, including complex technology developments and difficult customer interactions.
• Lead project goals, timelines, action items, gate advancement, risk tracking, and milestone reporting with minimal management oversight.
• Coordinate cross-functional design, testing, NPI, quality, and manufacturing teams, resolving project conflicts where possible.
• Interact directly with OEM customers, including critical communications and negotiations, and support customer satisfaction and project profitability.
• Oversee prototype fabrication, evaluate product fitment, support vehicle calibration, conduct field testing and vehicle operation, and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and ECN documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of product development and hands-on design experience.
• Engineering design knowledge.
• Experience with Creo, 3D modeling, or similar CAD design software.
• Time management and prioritization abilities.
• Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to sit for long periods and use vision to validate and enter computer data.
