Senior Engineer - Mechanical (Automotive)

Location: Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.

Salary: $73,200.00–$117,800.00 per year.

What you will do

• Design, redesign, develop, and integrate functional, reliable, cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle components into existing and new vehicles.
• Perform engineering calculations, investigations, analysis, and mathematical modeling to select parts, components, and materials and optimize system performance.
• Prepare and direct layouts, drawings, specifications, bills of material, technical proposals, quotations, reports, presentations, and project documentation.
• Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability while enforcing engineering criteria, drawing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Resolve engineering and production-support issues and communicate technical status with internal teams, suppliers, customers, and outside resources.
• Manage projects or portions of projects, collaborate across engineering and business disciplines, and mentor entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians.

Requirements

• Accredited bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and three or more years of related experience.
• Regular attendance is required.

Nice to have

• Accredited bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems.
• Experience with a high-level CAD system.
