Director of Cashiering & Treasury

Location: Dallas, TX; hybrid schedule with at least three days per week onsite in the Dallas office.

What you will do

• Lead a team of four or more as a measured, high-performing cashiering and treasury function; define and manage metrics covering volume, turnaround, error rate, exception aging, and cost per transaction.
• Oversee daily check, wire, ACH, debit card, checkbook, and deposit operations, including bank and vendor relationships, cutoffs, and service levels.
• Deliver accurate cash positioning and funding inputs for liquidity forecasting and bank account funding, partnering with Finance and Treasury on funding decisions and escalations.
• Own cash and bank reconciliations, SEC Rule 15c3-3 reserve inputs, principal approval of disbursements, and AML, OFAC, and fraud escalations; serve as the contact for relevant audits and regulatory exams.
• Drive the money movement roadmap with Product and Engineering by setting priorities, writing requirements, testing releases, and rolling out changes.
• Scale operations through automation and AI, maintain procedures as systems change, and prepare the function for new products and client growth.

Requirements

• Experience in cashiering, treasury, or money movement operations at a broker-dealer, clearing firm, custodian, or bank. Manager level requires 4+ years of experience including 2+ years directly managing a team; Senior Manager requires 5+ years including 3+ years managing; Director requires 8+ years including 5+ years managing and experience leading a function through an audit or regulatory exam.
• Experience building, running, and supervising daily cash and bank reconciliations at scale, and designing controls that withstand audits and regulatory exams.
• Deep experience with check, wire, ACH, and debit card operations, plus strong knowledge of the NACHA Operating Rules.
• Working command of SEC Rule 15c3-3 and Regulation E, with practical experience identifying money movement red flags and handling AML and OFAC escalations.
• Solid knowledge of retirement account contribution and distribution rules, including withholding and tax reporting.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to ship money movement capabilities and automation; ability to write clear requirements, run user acceptance testing, and use SQL or low-code tools.
• Heavy daily use of AI tools, with concrete examples of manual work eliminated through AI.
• For Manager level: FINRA Series 7 required at start and Series 24 required within 120 days of hire. For Senior Manager and Director levels: Series 7 and Series 24 required at start.
