Desktop and IT Support Technician

Location: On-site at Fort Leavenworth, Leavenworth, Kansas, United States. Must be a US citizen, meet military installation access requirements, hold a valid state driver's license and automobile insurance, and be able to travel as required.

What you will do

• Maintain desktop IT software, hardware, peripherals, and infrastructure on a government network.
• Operate, support, and maintain phone and video teleconference equipment.
• Monitor systems for compliance with Army policies and procedures.
• Assist users with hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Prepare weekly and monthly planning and status reports.
• Report on site directly to the Army customer and local Program Manager.

Requirements

• At least one year of IT infrastructure operation and maintenance experience.
• At least one year of desktop administration experience, including managing images, security patches, backup and recovery, account access, software installation, and troubleshooting.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Information Assurance Technical Level II certification under DoD 8570.01-M, with the applicable Computing Environment or Operating System certification for Windows 7/10 or higher.
• Security+ certification.
• US citizenship.
• Clear and precise oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivation, prioritization, time management, and the ability to complete multiple tasks within specified timeframes.
• High standards of quality and accuracy, reliable attendance, punctuality, and full proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience operating and supporting video teleconferencing equipment.
• Experience managing IT desktop equipment on Army networks and interfacing directly with the Network Enterprise Center.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or IT discipline, or equivalent experience.
