Senior Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: United States of America; remote role.

Base Pay Range: $132,500–$157,500 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with product, product engineering, data engineering, finance, accounting, and treasury teams to define reporting requirements, data models, business logic, and reporting layers.
• Develop a strong understanding of financial and accounting systems and make their inner workings transparent.
• Build frameworks and systems that detect reporting and data problems, lead triage and root-cause investigation, and design preventive solutions.
• Build scalable automated solutions using SQL, Superset, reporting tools, scripting languages, and AI.
• Share analytical results with broader audiences, including explanations of engineering and financial systems.
• Partner with accounting and treasury to solve data problems arising from new opportunities and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative major such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, such as R or Python, for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
• Experience with bank reporting, business banking, financial services, or a similar industry.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain systems clearly to non-technical audiences and potentially regulators.
• Strong collaboration skills across product, product engineering, data engineering, finance, accounting, and treasury teams.
• Strong ownership and accountability, including triaging broken reports or incorrect numbers, investigating root causes, driving resolution, and keeping cross-functional partners informed.
