Tech Lead / Dev Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Lead a squad of 3–4 engineers, own technical direction, coordinate delivery with Product, and report to the Development Manager.
• Design and document scalable, reliable, maintainable event-driven and component-based systems using ADRs, architecture workshops, and shared diagrams.
• Plan delivery, improve squad velocity and quality, and use delivery and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Run 1:1s, provide feedback, support career development, mentor engineers, and build a culture of ownership.
• Improve reliability and quality through CI/CD, AI-assisted test automation, observability, incident response, blameless post-mortems, and security hardening.
• Lead AI-assisted and agentic development workflows, apply AI/ML methods to business and engineering problems, and coordinate cross-organizational initiatives with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience building and shipping production software, including experience leading a team and developing its members.
• Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep full-stack experience across backend, web, mobile, and analytics.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging, event-driven integration, NoSQL and relational data modeling, and data modeling and ETL pipelines such as BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform: GCP, Azure, or AWS, plus containerization.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken.
• Experience with agile delivery frameworks and coaching teams through trade-offs when the answer is not obvious.

• Node.js and TypeScript.
• Terraform or Pulumi.
