Manufacturing Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Lynnwood, Washington, United States. Flexible work schedule and overtime may be required to support production.

Salary: $100,000–$117,000 annual USD.

What you will do

• Study, analyze, and design manufacturing methods, procedures, processes, layouts, flow, fixtures, and tooling to support production.
• Investigate manufacturing problems, identify root causes and corrective actions, and implement cost-reduction and product-improvement programs.
• Review customer specifications, statements of work, new product designs, design changes, and manufacturing-initiated change requests.
• Evaluate facilities, equipment, materials, non-conformances, and production costs, including quotation and make-or-buy analyses.
• Develop operating instructions, manufacturing metrics, procedures, and training for assemblers and operators.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, vendors, customers, and management; develop ROI or business cases for capital equipment, new products, process development, and productivity improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
• Practical knowledge of modern production principles and methods applied to high-technology electronics design and manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of material characteristics, processing, and chemicals.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, mechanical systems, fluids, and heat transfer.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
• BA or BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
• Where controlled data or information access is required, only US Persons will be considered due to ITAR obligations.
