International Logistics Supervisor

Location: NY - Yaphank, United States; onsite

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year, with possible geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive, and equity awards.

What you will do

• Manage inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments with minimal supervision.
• Produce accurate shipping documentation, track shipments, and communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping companies, joint ventures, agents, and clients' purchasing and logistics personnel.
• Coordinate ocean, air, LTL, FTL, drop-ship, and weekly consolidated shipments, including deliveries from the warehouse to key customers.
• Supervise logistics coordinators, train department personnel, and handle hiring, discipline, check-ins, and other HR responsibilities for direct reports.
• Prepare freight quotes, review and reconcile logistics invoices, and support freight-cost optimization and savings analyses.
• Resolve international and domestic shipment issues, manage escalations, respond to JIRA tickets within SLA, troubleshoot UPS and FedEx shipping systems, and maintain logistics reports.

Requirements

• High school degree required.
• Knowledge of international shipping logistics required.
• Knowledge of domestic shipping logistics required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
• Ability to communicate clearly and precisely, verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Accurate, thorough, and neat working style with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with internal teams including Sales, Resource Management, Warehouse, Facilities, Samples, Credit, and Product Management.

Nice to have

• Business school or college degree.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager.
• Working knowledge of the OzLink quote system and Descartes Customs application.
• Experience with drop shipping from domestic and international sources.
