Embedded Control Systems Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Hybrid schedule: onsite Monday through Thursday; work location is flexible on Fridays.

Annual base salary: $70,400.00–$128,379.99.

What you will do

• Provide global embedded control systems engineering support for transport refrigeration units and auxiliary power units.
• Coordinate internal and external electronics and software design efforts, translating product and customer needs into requirements, specifications, milestones, and schedules.
• Partner with product management, project management, platform teams, and external stakeholders to ensure product performance meets system requirements.
• Support controller development across requirements, design, integration, testing, deployment, post-production support, and lifecycle improvements.
• Participate in feasibility studies and ideation events for refrigeration technology.
• Maintain and develop product development tools and support FMEA, Design for Service, and Testability integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 2 or more years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience with Phase Gate and Agile development methodologies.
• Experience designing and supporting controller solutions.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with the embedded controller development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, integration testing, deployment, and post-production support.
