Control Systems Senior Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Relocation assistance may be available. Travel is 10%.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year.

What you will do

• Gather, analyze, and document product, system, and control system requirements.
• Design embedded control systems for existing and next-generation machine features, supporting AUTOSAR, modularity, and reuse.
• Lead implementation and delivery of model-based software components in Simulink.
• Test, tune, and debug embedded software using Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and on-machine testing.
• Collaborate with client and partner teams on post-production support and lead or mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering, or computer science.
• Experience with requirements, software specification, workflow management, version control, and configuration management.
• Demonstrated delivery of real-time embedded control software for transmission systems using MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow in automotive or mobile equipment applications.
• Proficiency with AUTOSAR and generating AUTOSAR-compliant code from Simulink.
• Knowledge of Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing, plus Vector Network Interfaces, CANape, and CANalyzer.
• Working knowledge of engines, power systems, and multi-speed drivetrains; willingness to operate heavy construction machinery at proving grounds or field sites.
