Workday Integration Consultant

Location: 100% remote within the United States.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and PECI.
• Build inbound and outbound integrations connecting Workday with payroll, benefits, IT provisioning, finance, and analytics systems.
• Develop XSLT transformations, calculated fields, custom reports, report-as-a-service integrations, and Workday REST/SOAP API integrations.
• Configure integration system users, ISSG patterns, security settings, tenant-level setup, business processes, and condition rules.
• Design error handling, retry, notification, documentation, regression testing, tenant refresh, and release-planning processes.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, IT, finance, product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders; support production incidents, code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five or more years of Workday integration development experience.
• Deep expertise in EIB, Workday Studio, and Core Connectors.
• Strong XSLT skills and experience with Workday Studio orchestrations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday REST and SOAP APIs.
• Strong understanding of the Workday data model, tenant configuration, and security model, including ISU/ISSG patterns.
• Familiarity with calculated fields and custom report design.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Workday Pro Integrations certification.
• Experience with PICOF, PECI, or Cloud Connect for Payroll.
• Familiarity with Workday Extend.
• Exposure to multi-tenant or multi-region Workday deployments.
• Experience integrating Workday with major SaaS platforms such as ServiceNow and Salesforce.
