Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; fully remote with occasional workshops, team sessions, and events requiring attendance in person in Germany.

What you will do

• Build production-ready applications with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js across UI, APIs, and services.
• Create AI-powered interfaces, conversational UIs, and agent workflows.
• Use AI to explore ideas, write code, and solve problems while reviewing its output critically and owning shipped code.
• Design scalable architectures and make sound technical decisions across the full stack.
• Work with Product, UX/UI, and Engineering to deliver maintainable, performant software.
• Understand user problems, challenge assumptions, and develop solutions that people use.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on full-stack JavaScript experience and a proven record of delivering production-ready applications.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js, with an understanding of modern web application architecture.
• Hands-on experience building and integrating REST APIs, working with SQL databases, and making decisions about data structures and database design.
• Hands-on experience with Jest, Vitest, or Node.js testing is essential.
• Ability to consider architecture, performance, scalability, maintainability, edge cases, and code quality.
• Ability to understand problems, explain technical decisions, work independently, and take ownership of solutions.
• Ability to use AI in development while critically reviewing its output and taking responsibility for the shipped code.

Nice to have

• GraphQL experience.
• Experience with AI-first interfaces, agent workflows, or natural-language products.
• Experience with AWS, Jenkins, Grafana, Graylog, Confluence, Jira, or shell scripting.
• A portfolio, side project, or demo repository demonstrating technical problem-solving.
