Sales Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Las Vegas, NV, United States; willingness to travel 40%+ required.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, from discovery through technical close, to understand prospects' security operations challenges, technology stacks, and business drivers.
• Lead technical discovery and identify gaps in detection coverage, response time, analyst capacity, SIEM costs, attack surface visibility, and digital risk exposure.
• Deliver demonstrations and “Day in the Life” sessions covering GreyMatter Core, Digital Risk Protection, CAASM, Transit security data pipelines, and Agentic Teammates.
• Position agentic AI and automation to reduce Tier 1 and Tier 2 work, lower MTTD and MTTR, and scale SOC operations without linear headcount growth.
• Build technical business cases, respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, and support sizing, scoping, and pricing.
• Run Value Assessments, compete against MDR, XDR, and SOAR vendors, and advise security leaders from SOC analysts through CISOs before and after the sale.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network security, information security, or security operations.
• 2+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Consulting, or equivalent.
• Hands-on familiarity with SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, firewalls, IPS, DLP, identity, cloud security, and email security.
• Working knowledge of SOC operations and the detection-to-response lifecycle, including security team cost and capacity pressures.
• Understanding of PCI, GLBA, SOX, HIPAA, and GDPR regulatory and compliance drivers.
• Current knowledge of ransomware, identity-based attacks, supply chain risk, and AI-enabled threats.
• Confidence presenting to audiences ranging from SOC analysts to C-level executives.
• Self-directed working style suited to a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; willingness to travel 40%+.

Nice to have

• Experience selling or engineering MDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, or AI-driven security platforms.
• Familiarity with CAASM, Digital Risk Protection, or security data pipeline categories.
• Exposure to agentic AI, LLM-driven automation, or SOC AI tooling.
• Established relationships with security leaders in the region.
• CISSP, GIAC, OSCP, or comparable certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
