Senior Software Developer (AI)

What you will do

• Own features and software problems end to end, from understanding user needs through design, delivery, production support, and maintenance.
• Design and build full-stack solutions for internal and public web applications, making pragmatic architectural decisions.
• Use AI tools and coding agents for scaffolding, refactoring, testing, and research, then review, test, and secure all shipped code.
• Participate across analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support.
• Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and raise engineering quality.
• Work with users and stakeholders, estimate work, set milestones, manage technical risk, and help shape the engineering roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping software; 7+ years preferred, with significant end-to-end ownership.
• Strong engineering judgment and the ability to evaluate both human- and AI-written code.
• Product mindset focused on user needs, business outcomes, and software details.
• Fluency with modern AI development tools and coding agents, with discipline to verify, test, and own shipped work.
• Ability to adapt across languages and frameworks; the current stack is Elixir and Phoenix, though prior experience is not required.
• Strong foundation in software design, architecture, testing, continuous integration, code review, and containerization.
• Clear, direct communication with teammates and development tools.
• Senior-level ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, and improve team performance.
• Willingness to keep learning and help shape engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with Elixir and Phoenix.
• Projects, repositories, pull requests, or examples of work built with AI tools or coding agents.
