Task Order Project Manager (Network Engineering)

Location: Alexandria, VA; candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Ft. Belvoir / Alexandria, VA and work onsite. The role requires work from an office location with occasional work in warehouse or communications closet spaces.

Salary: $110,000+ annually. Final compensation depends on relevant experience, security clearance, certifications, technical skills, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.

What you will do

• Manage daily operations, staffing, resource allocation, schedules, contract performance, milestones, labor utilization, financial performance, risks, and corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary contractor management interface with the Government Contracting Officer, COR, Program Managers, technical stakeholders, and corporate management.
• Develop and maintain the Task Order Management Plan, Integrated Master Project Schedule, technical implementation schedules, and Government approval activities.
• Oversee execution across 13 PWS tasks, including network engineering, cybersecurity, configuration management, asset management, operational support, and global technology refreshes across more than 160 sites.
• Manage personnel onboarding, offboarding, training, certification compliance, workforce continuity, transition planning, and knowledge transfer.
• Prepare contract reports and deliverables, oversee quality assurance and performance improvement, and coordinate acquisition planning, procurement, resource management, and invoicing.

Requirements

• Five years of relevant experience and five years of leadership experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in IT and/or consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field, or four additional years of related experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• DoD Top Secret clearance or active Secret clearance with a favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation is required.
• Project Management certification from a recognized authority, such as PMP or an equivalent recognized certification.
• Must reside within a commutable distance of Ft. Belvoir / Alexandria, VA to work onsite.
• Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods and work from an office, with occasional work in warehouse or communications closet spaces.

Nice to have

• Experience managing network engineering and/or network administration projects.
• DoD 8570 IAM III or DoD 8140 Project Manager Advanced certification, such as ISACA CISM.
