Technical Project Manager, Data Center Security

Location: Livingston, New Jersey, United States. On-site data center work is required, with travel to data center sites averaging 10–15% and reaching 35–40% depending on project phase. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining the required U.S. authorization.

Base salary: $134,000–$179,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead security workstreams for new data center sites and expansions through kickoff, construction, whitespace fitout, commissioning, handover, and day-2 deployment.
• Translate approved security requirements into project deliverables, schedules, owners, acceptance criteria, and readiness checklists.
• Coordinate with Information Security, Construction, Facilities, Engineering, Networking, Operations, contractors, subcontractors, MEP trades, and equipment vendors.
• Track controls for network segmentation, privileged and remote access, infrastructure hardening, vulnerability management, logging, and monitoring.
• Coordinate security reviews and testing, track findings and remediation evidence, and manage exceptions before handover.
• Maintain milestones, dependencies, risks, vendor delivery, documentation, ownership, access procedures, and escalation paths across concurrent builds.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical project management experience in data center deployment, construction, whitespace fitout, or infrastructure delivery.
• Experience coordinating technical security requirements or remediation and understanding data center build sequences, commissioning, and operational handover.
• Working knowledge of network segmentation, privileged access, secure configuration, vulnerability management, and logging and monitoring.
• Experience working with construction, facilities, engineering, operations, contractors, subcontractors, and equipment vendors.
• Strong risk management, problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and decision-facilitation skills across large-scale projects.
• Willingness to travel to data center sites and meet project timelines.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering security workstreams for greenfield data centers or data hall expansions.
• Familiarity with building management systems, electrical power monitoring systems, or other data center operational technology.
• Experience with high-performance computing, GPU infrastructure, large-scale cloud deployments, security reviews, commissioning evidence, or operational readiness assessments.
• Relevant project management, data center, or security certifications.
