Senior Cloud Platforms Engineer (Azure)

Estimated hiring range: $102,400.00–$179,000.00 per year; incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Design, manage, and maintain native toolsets in a multi-cloud environment to automate operational processes and improve development delivery.
• Define and implement CI/CD and Azure DevOps requirements with infrastructure, application development, security, and Agile product teams.
• Configure Azure CI/CD integrations with Azure cloud environments, Artifactory, automation testing tools, Octopus, Jenkins, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Monitor Azure deployments, application performance, code pipelines, and environments; troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues.
• Establish automation frameworks for fully automated code deployments and support platform and application delivery teams.
• Implement security controls, governance processes, and compliance validations while developing demonstrations and sharing technical solutions with other engineers.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of relevant experience are required.
• Experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or a related position is required.
• Experience in software development using Java, C#, or Python, with an understanding of CI/CD concepts, is required.
• Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure as Code and tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible, and Chef is required.
• Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably Azure, is required.
• A relevant degree is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Windows Server and Linux.
• Deep knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Certification as an Azure Architect, DevOps Administrator, or another cloud-related certification.
• Understanding of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks.
• Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development, and system engineering.
