Team Leader - Agentic Pentest

What you will do

• Lead, grow, and mentor a team of senior backend engineers.
• Write production code and participate in design and code reviews.
• Own architecture and design decisions for an agentic penetration-testing platform, including AI agents, task orchestration, and scanning at scale.
• Work with Product and customers to translate security requirements into technical plans and deliver them with high quality.
• Set engineering standards for a new product built with an AI-first approach.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience leading backend engineering teams, including direct management of 3 or more engineers.
• At least 8 years of backend engineering experience, including senior-level roles.
• Proven experience in security or agentic AI systems is required: experience at a cybersecurity product company or security/penetration-testing firm, or hands-on experience building production AI agents such as Harness, LLM tool calling, multi-step agents, or MCPs, beyond using AI coding tools.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or another high-level backend language.
• Proven ability to guide architecture and technical decisions for complex systems.
• Strong ownership, independence, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent English.
• Daily, hands-on use of AI tools in engineering work and an AI-first mindset.

Nice to have

• Offensive security experience, including penetration testing, DAST, vulnerability scanning, red-team work, or attack-simulation tooling.
• Experience combining security and agentic AI.
• Experience leading a team on a 0-to-1 product.
