Manager - External Reporting

What you will do

• Prepare the group’s annual financial statements under UK-adopted IFRS, including the Strategic Report and Directors’ Report, and manage review and filing.
• Own the US GAAP to IFRS conversion, including reconciliation of key differences and supporting documentation.
• Prepare financial information required under facility agreements, including annual, quarterly, and half-year financial statements or management accounts.
• Partner with Legal, Tax, FP&A, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, and Internal Audit on disclosures, transactions, and emerging issues.
• Act as the key liaison with external auditors and support Audit Committee materials.
• Support external-reporting controls, including the design and implementation of frameworks for future SOX 404 compliance, control ownership, and audit-ready processes.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent, with a strong background in external financial reporting.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including significant exposure to IFRS technical accounting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements under IFRS and UK Company law.
• Experience assisting with external audits, regulatory filings, and compliance processes.
• Experience interpreting and implementing new accounting standards and disclosure requirements.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance frameworks.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of solving complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex accounting matters to executives, auditors, and non-financial stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to US GAAP technical accounting and SEC reporting.
• Experience in a publicly traded or pre-IPO environment.
