Management Accountant (Renewable Energy)

What you will do

• Review and challenge management accounts prepared by external accountants and ensure accurate asset-level financial information.
• Report portfolio financial performance at monthly Customer Board meetings and ensure accurate commentary in Investor Reports.
• Prepare budgets with commercial asset managers, monitor costs, and support quarterly fund valuations.
• Support onboarding of new investments, underlying-asset audits, financial due diligence for asset sales, and statutory financial statement reviews.
• Manage payment approvals, strengthen portfolio controls, and coordinate with external auditors and accounting teams.
• Identify system and process improvements, manage stakeholder queries, and deliver ad hoc reports and analysis.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP.
• Ability to complete and review consolidations.
• Ability to manage external accounting teams, stakeholders, and tight timelines.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of investment entity accounting.
• Experience working with renewable energy investment assets and understanding of relevant subsidy schemes.
• Good understanding of CIR and other basic tax rules.
