Senior Reconciliations and Payments Analyst (Fintech)

What you will do

• Monitor daily reconciliations by checking that cash held in banks matches client balances in internal systems.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks, coordinating with engineering, banks, and third-party payment providers.
• Maintain vendor, regulatory, month-end, and other recurring reporting with a high level of accuracy.
• Use Excel and data visualization tools such as Databricks, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or similar to monitor reconciliation data.
• Handle occasional manual money transfers and manage related accuracy requirements.
• Contribute to automating manual reconciliation processes using AI and other tools, while collaborating with engineering, treasury, and external banking partners.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in reconciliation, payment operations, or treasury operations, including experience as a reconciliation specialist, payment analyst, or accountant with reconciliation exposure.
• Comfort with Excel and experience with data visualization or BI tools such as Databricks, Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Working understanding of payment schemes and how money moves between banks and internal systems.
• Diligence and attention to detail, especially when handling money movements.
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced, frequently changing environments without a fixed rulebook.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills for working with internal teams and external partners, including banks.
• Availability to start immediately or on very short notice.
• Openness to a fixed-term contract of approximately five months, with a possibility of extension depending on business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience working at a neobank or fintech.
• Mathematical or quantitative background.
• Experience helping build or improve automations in reconciliation or payments workflows.
• Basic SQL or data analysis skills.
