Strategy & Operations Analyst

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; permanent hybrid role.

Salary: €50,000–€70,000 base salary per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Advise leadership on business opportunities and risks using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Build and maintain financial models to forecast performance and unit economics.
• Define key metrics, set SLAs, and build dashboards measuring operational performance across internal teams and external partners.
• Design business intelligence tools to detect and diagnose operational performance issues.
• Analyze operational financial data to identify errors, trends, and savings opportunities.
• Analyze large, complex datasets and translate findings into clear insights, hypotheses, and recommendations.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in banking, consulting, or high-growth technology or fintech.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems and apply first-principles thinking.
• Meticulous attention to detail, including diagnosing issues and identifying root causes.
• Ability to connect operating metrics, financial outcomes, and business strategy in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritize and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Curiosity and ability to learn new tools, topics, and operational domains quickly.
• Resourcefulness and a hands-on approach to getting work done.

Nice to have

• Experience at a technology startup with significant real-world operations or logistics.
• Comfort with Python or JavaScript for data cleaning, automation, or analysis.
• Experience experimenting with agents or LLMs for personal or professional projects.
