Senior Business Analyst (Retail)

Location: Amsterdam (HQ), North Holland, Netherlands; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Identify and quantify commercial growth opportunities and translate insights into measurable business actions.
• Analyze sales, profitability, operations, products, channels, markets, customers, trends, risks, and performance drivers.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, latest estimates, long-range planning, and performance management against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year results.
• Develop scenario analyses and business cases, provide forward-looking performance visibility, and recommend actions.
• Deliver management reporting, develop and maintain Qlik Sense dashboards, improve reporting automation, and strengthen data quality, governance, KPI definitions, and analytical capabilities.
• Partner with Commercial, Finance, Product, Supply Chain, Operations, and senior leadership teams; present clear recommendations and support strategic initiatives and business transformation projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in business analytics, commercial analytics, or a similar data-driven role.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Solid understanding of commercial performance metrics, including sales, margin, inventory, and profitability.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Structured and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and comfort working in a dynamic, data-driven environment.
• Fluent written and verbal English.

Nice to have

• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense.
