Senior Data, Analytics & AI Business Partner

Location: Hybrid in Belfast, United Kingdom; region: UK, CI and Ireland; jurisdiction: Belfast.

What you will do

• Partner with senior leaders to identify where data, analytics and AI can create strategic, commercial and operational value.
• Translate complex or loosely defined business questions into structured analysis, clear insights and practical recommendations.
• Explore enterprise data with SQL and modern analytical tools, combining financial, client, operational and CRM data to identify opportunities across growth, retention, profitability and productivity.
• Design and test analytical products, proofs of concept and AI-enabled solutions, including forecasting, revenue leakage, client churn, sales conversion, capacity and anomaly detection use cases.
• Apply generative AI, AI agents and automation to improve business processes, management insight and decision-making.
• Work with Data Engineering, BI, Technology, Security and Governance teams to scale successful prototypes, improve data trust and promote effective use of data, analytics and AI.

Requirements

• Significant experience in data, analytics, business intelligence or a related discipline, ideally in a mature, data-driven organisation.
• Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders, understand complex business challenges and translate them into practical analytical solutions and actions.
• Strong SQL skills and confidence independently interrogating large, complex datasets.
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including data modelling and visualisation.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms, ideally Microsoft Fabric or the wider Microsoft data ecosystem.
• Practical experience using generative AI, large language models, Copilot technologies or AI agents to solve real business problems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to work through ambiguity and explain complex findings to non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality and enterprise data architecture, with experience across CRM, finance, operational or client datasets.

Nice to have

• Experience with DAX.
• Experience with Python, notebooks, predictive modelling, forecasting or machine-learning use cases.
