Director, Data Analytics (AI)

What you will do

• Own and continuously refine the multi-year Data & Analytics roadmap, translating strategy into a prioritized, costed portfolio with milestones, dependencies, risks, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of data products and oversee projects across multiple business areas, including the transition from Cognos, Oracle, and Qlik to Azure, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Strengthen data quality and governance through ownership, stewardship, cataloguing, lineage, monitoring, access controls, documentation, auditing, and reporting.
• Identify and deliver practical AI, machine learning, and automation use cases across pharmaceutical supply chain, commercial, and operational activities with appropriate risk, security, regulatory, and human-oversight controls.
• Manage budgets, business cases, resources, cloud infrastructure costs, stakeholder expectations, executive reporting, and business value realization.
• Lead, coach, and develop data professionals while building data fluency, AI confidence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Significant senior experience leading data, analytics, or technology delivery within large, complex organizations.
• Proven accountability for significant budgets, including forecasting, business cases, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Proven experience developing and communicating a strategic data or technology roadmap that was successfully executed.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and reporting skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Deep understanding of data platforms, data governance, analytics solutions, and their business application, including establishing or improving governance in a low-maturity environment.
• Practical knowledge of applying AI and machine learning to data and analytics processes, including related governance and risk considerations.
• Experience leading change and delivering in fast-moving, high-pressure environments, ideally including cloud migration or legacy platform modernization.
• Knowledge of Agile, SAFe, Prince2, or equivalent program and portfolio management methodologies, plus recognized data, governance, or program management qualifications or experience maturing data governance capabilities.

Nice to have

• Change management experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, supply chain, or similarly regulated industries.
• Hands-on familiarity with Azure, Databricks, Power BI, and data governance tooling for cataloguing, lineage, and data quality.
• Experience with FinOps or cloud cost management.
