Staff Data Analyst - Commercial

What you will do

• Partner with product teams to set pricing for 8 million and growing UK customers.
• Analyse energy retail data to understand customers and competitors and guide UK and global strategy.
• Deliver and scale global analytics projects across the seven other countries where Octopus operates, including lifetime value calculations and churn modelling.
• Define KPIs and build intuitive dashboards to explain operational drivers across the business.
• Prioritise and coordinate global data teams, balancing local needs with global opportunities.
• Present actionable insights to senior leadership and partner with influential business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Passion for hands-on data work.
• Experience mentoring and upskilling junior analytical colleagues.
• Hands-on expertise with modern data platforms and analytical tools, especially SQL and Python.
• Strong communication skills for influencing non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen, preferably in pricing, margin optimisation, and/or growth analytics.
• A track record of delivering actionable insights that drive measurable business impact.
