Senior Configuration Management Analyst (ServiceNow CMDB)

Location: Remote Kentucky, United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required. Work from a dedicated space with internet speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; the role requires protecting member PHI/HIPAA information.

Salary: $89,000–$121,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead CMDB operations, investigate configuration item and relationship issues, monitor data quality, and coordinate remediation with application, infrastructure, and service owners.
• Maintain CMDB procedures, standards, documentation, governance controls, certifications, and operational processes.
• Drive improvements in data accuracy, completeness, ownership, relationship mapping, automation, user experience, and CMDB maturity.
• Support ServiceNow CMDB administration by onboarding CI classes, data sources, services, and environments; validating Discovery results, integrations, reconciliation behavior, and relationship models.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, metrics, trend analyses, risk assessments, executive reports, and governance communications.
• Evaluate AI, machine learning, anomaly detection, relationship intelligence, and intelligent automation opportunities for CMDB operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management, CMDB administration, CMDB operations, ITSM, or related disciplines, including 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow CMDB experience.
• Experience managing CMDB operational processes within a large enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of Configuration Management principles and best practices.
• Experience with CMDB data quality management, certifications, audits, governance, CI relationships, service mapping, ownership models, and dependency data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, root cause analysis, written, verbal, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• 7+ years of Configuration Management or CMDB experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, Data Manager, IRE, and CSDM.
• Experience supporting ITAM, Asset Management, Application Portfolio Management, or Service Portfolio Management initiatives.
• Experience developing executive dashboards and operational reporting.
• Experience with automation, workflow design, or process optimization.
• Exposure to AI-enabled operational platforms, predictive analytics, generative AI, or machine learning applications.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), ServiceNow CIS-CMDB, or an equivalent Configuration Management certification.
