Senior Project Manager (M&E)

Location: South, United Kingdom; projects across the Midlands, South East and South West. Travel across the UK is required.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and manage Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers across the portfolio.
• Deliver high-value, complex, and strategically important construction and M&E projects from inception to completion.
• Manage scoping, surveys, design development, procurement, contract administration, site oversight, planning, programming, cost control, and quality assurance.
• Own portfolio financial performance, including profitability, budgets, forecasting, margin protection, and cash flow.
• Act as a senior client and stakeholder contact, develop project scopes and specifications, and support long-term commercial relationships.
• Lead governance, health and safety, CDM compliance, reporting, risk management, document control, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing Project Managers or multidisciplinary project delivery teams.
• Experience delivering multiple capital projects valued from £75k to £5m+ in facilities management, construction, M&E, or renewables.
• Degree-level qualification in construction, engineering, project management, or equivalent experience.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Excellent understanding of JCT and NEC contract forms.
• Advanced knowledge of health and safety, CDM regulations, and site management; SMSTS minimum and an additional CDM qualification are essential.
• Experience managing client-facing project works and developing long-term commercial relationships.
• High-level communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and ability to obtain DBS clearance.

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• Experience managing large multidisciplinary teams across national or multi-contract portfolios.
• Experience developing proposals, variations, final accounts, and commercially complex submissions.
• Strong PFI portfolio experience.
• Ability to integrate project, commercial, and client relationship management effectively.
