Deputy Facilities Manager

Location: Winsford, Cheshire, United Kingdom; on-site at Cheshire Police Headquarters.

What you will do

• Support the Facilities Manager in managing and developing a small service delivery team and maintaining effective relationships with client teams.
• Assist with the delivery and management of hard and soft facilities management services under the PFI contract.
• Manage reactive and planned maintenance, performance and condition surveys, lifecycle requirements, and service delivery against contractual KPIs.
• Support the management of M&E subcontractors, coordinate multiple trades and permit-to-work activities, and oversee Authorised Person duties for LV/HV electrical processes and confined spaces.
• Monitor health and safety procedures, statutory compliance, quality and environmental requirements, and maintain required records and reports.
• Support procurement, subcontractor quotations, material orders, business planning, and FM budget management.

Requirements

• PFI service management experience relevant to the facilities management industry.
• Appropriate vocational qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines are preferred, together with experience assessing the operation and maintenance of a large facility.
• Experience delivering a diverse portfolio of services through directly employed personnel and subcontracted service providers in a quality-focused environment with KPI performance monitoring.
• Experience delivering high health and safety performance.
• Leadership, communication, organisational, motivation, staff management and development skills.
• Excellent people management, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Competent knowledge of IT packages; Concept knowledge is desirable.
• NPPV Level 2 police vetting is required upon appointment.
