Payroll Manager (Israeli Payroll)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end monthly Israeli payroll processing using Hashavim and/or Hilan.
• Supervise global payroll operations, international pay stations, and entities through Papaya Global and international PEO/EOR providers such as ADP and TriNet.
• Perform payroll audits, controls, validations, reconciliations, and compliance checks across Israeli and international operations.
• Prepare and post payroll journal entries, accruals, liabilities, social benefit allocations, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain pension, benefits, employee payroll, attendance, leave, and absence data, including Form 161 and severance calculations.
• Partner with HR, Finance, payroll providers, and brokers to resolve issues, manage filings, and improve payroll workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on Israeli payroll experience in a fast-paced technology company or high-growth global startup.
• Certified Payroll Specialist qualification.
• Hands-on expertise with Israeli payroll software: Hashavim and/or Hilan.
• Experience with Papaya Global and international PEO platforms such as ADP or TriNet.
• Practical payroll accounting experience, including payroll journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
• Direct experience validating payroll, performing control checks, and overseeing global payroll stations and foreign entities.
• In-depth knowledge of Israeli labor regulations, taxation, social security, pension rules, and compliance requirements.
• Good working proficiency in English, written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
• Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, ownership, and a proactive mindset.

Nice to have

• Bookkeeping or general ledger accounting certification, or practical experience.
• Experience with HR and attendance software such as HiBob.
• Background in hyper-growth SaaS or AI technology companies.
