TL;DR
Production Engineering Specialist (Manufacturing): Supporting production of large AC motors and generators by resolving process quality issues, optimizing manufacturing processes, and standardizing operating procedures with an accent on mechanical engineering, electrical machine manufacturing, and continuous improvement. Focus on leading process audits, PPS analysis, and new product and manufacturing technology introduction from project planning through local factory production.
Location: Shanghai, Shanghai, China; full-time, regular onsite position.

What you will do
- Provide technical support for production and cooperate with production, quality control, and other functions to resolve process quality issues and ensure delivery.
- Benchmark manufacturing best practices and work with the global advanced manufacturing team to optimize manufacturing processes, systems, equipment, and tools.
- Develop standardized manufacturing processes, prepare local work instructions, documents, and SOPs, and train and qualify operators.
- Prepare and implement process audit plans, produce objective audit reports, lead PPS analysis, and lead internal projects addressing quality and technical problems.
- Manage new product and manufacturing technology introduction projects from planning through successful production in the local factory.
- Provide technical support to sales, customer complaints, supply chain, and project management functions.
Requirements
- Rich experience in production.
- At least 3 years of experience in a mechanical field.
- Solid knowledge of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of electrical machines and familiarity with electrical machine manufacturing processes.
- Strong systematic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
