Engineer-Design (Engine Components)

Location: Wuxi, Jiangsu, China; onsite five days a week, with less than 10% travel and the ability to work effectively across different time zones.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and validation of engine components.
• Understand complete engine structures and performance functions.
• Resolve production-line and customer quality issues from an engineering perspective.
• Perform root cause analysis and define temporary and permanent solutions.
• Collaborate with SDE and SQE teams on supplier quality issue resolution.
• Assess and evaluate risks related to critical quality issues.

Requirements

• Degree in an accredited Engineering, Automobile, or Mechanical Engineering program.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in automobiles, engines, machinery manufacturing, or heavy equipment.
• Quality-related work experience.
• Knowledge of products and services and the ability to apply this knowledge to diverse situations.
• Analytical thinking, data gathering, and data analysis skills for identifying root causes and developing solutions.
• Knowledge of product design and development from concept through production.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting technical problems in manufacturing or product development environments.
• Fluent English and the ability to work effectively across different time zones.
