Underwriter, Aviation

Location: Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne, Australia. Hybrid role with a mix of working from home and in-office work.

What you will do

• Underwrite aviation risks within defined authority, organisational policy and underwriting strategy.
• Support profitable growth through new business and renewals in line with business plans and budgets.
• Provide aviation product expertise and support the Regional Manager and Senior Underwriters.
• Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, direct clients and aviation industry bodies.
• Represent hirify.global at client presentations and aviation industry functions.
• Maintain knowledge of aviation risk factors, legislation and regulations, collaborating with underwriting, claims and administration teams.

Requirements

• Aviation insurance background or solid working knowledge of the aviation industry.
• Experience in insurance, relationship management or a similar field.
• General aviation market knowledge.
• Reporting and analytical capability, including Microsoft Excel.
• Presentation and facilitation skills, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong relationship management, communication and collaboration skills, with a team-focused approach.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry experience.
