Senior Legal Counsel (Software Compliance)

What you will do

• Manage and provide legal support for global commercial litigation matters.
• Collaborate and liaise with external counsel and attend mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials.
• Work with global business and sales teams on commercial litigation support and litigation risk related to security and software compliance.
• Support cross-border mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and divestitures requiring international legal expertise.
• Advise the business as a trusted legal partner focused on mitigating organizational risk.

Requirements

• J.D. and 3–8 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Licensed to practice law in Canada.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Business-minded, pragmatic, solution-driven approach with sound judgment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills while maintaining a broader business perspective.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment, including the ability to work across diverse legal fields.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience and knowledge in software licensing and services, software compliance, professional services agreements, and privacy and security matters.
• Other European language skills.
