Product Quality & Reliability Engineer, Manager (M5) (Semiconductor)

Location: Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX, United States. Travel to supplier sites in the USA and Asia is required for 10% of the time.

Salary: $144,000–$198,000 per year. Additional bonus and stock award compensation may be available.

What you will do

• Lead multiple quality engineering projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Work with development engineers to apply Design For Reliability methods to new product development.
• Complete reliability analyses for new products and plan reliability validation tests.
• Drive 8D and failure-analysis projects through successful solution implementation.
• Evaluate materials, properties, and manufacturing techniques used by hirify.global and its suppliers from a reliability perspective.
• Perform FMECA, support CRAMS test plans, lead Part Qualification Processes at supplier sites, analyze non-conformance and failure-rate data, and review Engineering Change Requests for quality and reliability impact.

Requirements

• Expertise in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering; mechanisms and component qualification; manufacturing and failure analysis; Design For Reliability; and electromechanical components.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze non-conformance and failure-rate data.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional stakeholders in solving complex quality and reliability problems.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, technically astute, hands-on, self-confident leadership style and broad knowledge of product development, manufacturing quality, and reliability methods.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Ability to travel to supplier sites in the USA and Asia for 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Reliability, or a related field.
• Certified Quality Engineer or Reliability Engineer certification.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
• Semiconductor capital equipment experience.
• Experience in quality and reliability.
