Accounts Payable Manager (Gaming)

A gaming and hospitality organization operating a casino finance function with a focus on compliant, accurate, and efficient Accounts Payable operations.

What you will do

• Lead daily Accounts Payable operations, including vendor invoices, payment requests, employee reimbursements, disbursements, check runs, ACH transactions, and supplier maintenance.
• Oversee invoice coding, approval workflows, purchase-order matching, vendor master data, W-9 and tax documentation, and procure-to-pay controls.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Accounts Payable, supplier management, expense reporting, invoice processing, and workflow approvals.
• Participate in Workday implementations, upgrades, testing, user acceptance activities, system enhancements, and training.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies, payment issues, vendor inquiries, account reconciliations, aging reports, and payment terms.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, audits, financial reporting, process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressive Accounts Payable experience.
• At least three years of supervisory or management experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounting environment.
• Experience in a high-volume, computerized Accounts Payable environment.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, the procure-to-pay cycle, supplier management, and internal controls.
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and General Ledger account analysis.
• Knowledge of month-end and year-end close, audit support, and financial reporting processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, leadership, team development, performance management, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and financial information, exercise independent judgment, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with departments and operators to ensure invoices are submitted, approved, and paid accurately and on time.

Nice to have

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Workday Financials and Workday Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, system enhancements, testing, and process improvements.
• Experience in gaming, hospitality, casino, or a large multi-entity organization.
