Product Strategist (AI)

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office or on a client site, and up to 5 days per week on a client site depending on the role or assignment.

What you will do

• Lead client discovery to identify how work is performed, where value is lost, and which opportunities are worth pursuing.
• Define product requirements, priorities, acceptance criteria, and success measures to guide delivery and measure outcomes.
• Translate business challenges into digital products, AI-enabled solutions, and intelligent workflows that users trust and adopt.
• Shape the application of AI, including automation opportunities, human oversight, and evaluation of success.
• Align stakeholders, support change, and help clients redesign processes to drive adoption and realize value.
• Create reusable approaches, assets, and industry insights that strengthen future engagements and market offerings.

Requirements

• Experience in product management, product strategy, consulting, or a similar role defining and delivering technology-enabled solutions.
• Experience leading discovery, shaping product direction, and translating complex business challenges into actionable plans.
• Experience building business cases, defining success measures, and demonstrating value realization.
• Deep expertise in at least one industry sector and the ability to establish credibility with operational and executive stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of AI-enabled products, including agents, retrieval approaches, automation, and the opportunities and limitations of modern AI systems.
• Experience evaluating competing opportunities and deciding where technology can create the greatest impact.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technology solutions from concept through implementation and adoption.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence decisions across organizational levels.
• Commercial judgment and the ability to balance business value, user needs, technical feasibility, and delivery constraints.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering solutions in consulting, professional services, or an industry leadership role.
• Experience in healthcare and life sciences, manufacturing, energy and utilities, transportation, or consumer industries.
• Experience with change management, operating model design, process transformation, or adoption of new technologies.
• Experience using data, analytics, AI tools, SQL, Python, or similar approaches to support decision-making and product strategy.
