Cloud Support Administrator (Azure)

What you will do

• Manage Azure customer infrastructure, including physical and virtual components, monitoring, alerting, Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Site Recovery, and disaster recovery environments.
• Administer network platforms, firewalls, VPNs, policy-based routing, load balancing, Windows and Linux servers, and Hyper-V or VMware hypervisors.
• Act as an escalation point for high-priority incidents, service requests, and problem management in line with ITIL and change management procedures.
• Manage multiple customer environments with Azure Lighthouse and perform quality assurance checks on migrated and greenfield environments.
• Develop documentation, standard operating procedures, customer runbooks, training materials, and automation processes.
• Implement infrastructure automation and CI/CD practices using PowerShell, Bicep, and Infrastructure as Code templates, and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Azure Cloud support administration experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with PowerShell or Bicep automation, CI/CD practices, and infrastructure provisioning or configuration management.
• Experience managing network platforms and firewalls, including VPNs, policy management, load balancing, and policy-based routing.
• Ability to configure and administer Azure Site Recovery and troubleshoot complex backup and recovery issues.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices for incident and problem management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to clients.
• Strong analytical and root-cause analysis skills, with a focus on knowledge development and process creation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• AZ-104 certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment if not already held.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure Administrator certification AZ-104.
• Experience with Hyper-V and VMware hypervisors.
