What you will do

• Shoot and edit daily news packages, VOs, SOTs, and lifestyle segments for broadcast, digital platforms, and social media.
• Collaborate with reporters, producers, anchors, and hosts to shape cohesive visual stories.
• Set up, compose, and execute shots with attention to lighting, framing, and continuity.
• Operate live microwave and satellite trucks in remote situations.
• Perform color correction, audio leveling, graphic integration, and platform-specific footage optimization.
• Maintain and troubleshoot video equipment and editing systems, organize media assets, and participate in editorial meetings.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in video shooting and editing, preferably in a news or live production setting.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid.
• Strong timing, pacing, visual composition, storytelling, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Familiarity with newsroom workflows, file formats, and broadcast standards.
• High school diploma required.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, multitask, solve problems under pressure, and work independently or collaboratively.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as news dictates.
• Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use email, write memos, participate in face-to-face discussions, and work near others indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to lift, set up, and operate equipment weighing up to 25 pounds; repetitive movements and work in extremely bright or inadequate lighting may be required.
• Ability to work outdoors occasionally in all weather conditions.

Nice to have

• College coursework or a degree in Film, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
