Photojournalist, Telemundo T60 San Antonio

Location: San Antonio, Texas, United States. Full-time onsite work at an hirify.global-designated worksite; must be available for any 24x7 shift and willing to travel, work overtime, and work weekends on short notice.

Salary: USD 62,000–65,000 per year.

What you will do

• Shoot and edit spot news and feature stories for KVDA Telemundo T60 San Antonio.
• Use cameras, lighting, and editing skills to create broadcast stories on assigned topics.
• Operate cameras, an ENG live/microwave truck, and Edius Pro or Adobe Premiere editing systems.
• Respond quickly to breaking news and coordinate with the assignment desk, reporters, anchors, production, control room, and NBC personnel.
• Carry camera equipment weighing 15–30 lbs. for extended periods while shooting at remote locations.

Requirements

• Fluency in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• At least 3 years of experience shooting video and knowledge of live remote capabilities in a broadcast station.
• At least 3 years of experience operating an ENG live/microwave truck.
• At least 3 years of experience operating communication tools, including email software, cell phones, and messaging tools.
• At least 3 years of experience editing stories.
• Unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• At least 18 years of age, a valid Texas driver’s license, and availability for 24x7 shifts.
• Resume/CV, demo reel, and a tape of the candidate’s own work must be submitted for consideration.
• Ability to perform medium/heavy physical work, including extended carrying of 15–30 lb. camera equipment.
• Willingness to travel, work overtime, and work weekends on short notice; acceptance of hirify.global’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of photography/editing experience at a medium or major market TV news station.
• Knowledge of P2 cameras, Edius Pro, Adobe Premiere, and wireless newsgathering technology.
