Associate Producer, MS NOW Digital (Political News)

Location: Hybrid role in New York, NY, United States; must be willing to work in New York and have unrestricted US work authorization. Schedule: Saturday–Sunday 11:00–19:00 and Monday–Wednesday 14:00–22:00, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and breaking-news shifts.

Salary: USD 75,000–80,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Identify compelling news moments, interviews, and segments for digital packaging.
• Pitch, produce, and edit social packages, perspective content, and original social-first video.
• React quickly to breaking news and deliver accurate, compelling video content on deadline.
• Write clear, accurate, attention-grabbing headlines, captions, and copy.
• Create editorial graphics and photo posts for Instagram and other platforms.
• Collaborate with show producers, reporters, and the Digital team, and curate content for the MS NOW homepage and app.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in social media news production.
• Demonstrable experience identifying and producing shareable or viral news and perspective content.
• Knowledge of social media platforms, their audiences, and current social media trends.
• Expert-level editing skills with Adobe Premiere.
• Experience turning breaking news into vertical content for social platforms.
• Proficiency with digital production equipment, including cameras and microphones.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and different shifts as required by breaking news.
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
