Photographer, NBC Boston & Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra

Location: Required full-time onsite work at the hirify.global designated worksite in Needham, Massachusetts, United States; must be willing to work weekends, travel, overtime, remote locations, and any 24×7 shift.

Salary: USD 50,000–90,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Shoot and edit spot news and feature stories using creative camera work, lighting, and editing.
• Operate ENG cameras, live trucks, IP transmission devices, and Premiere editing systems.
• Respond quickly to breaking news and follow direction from the assignment desk.
• Coordinate with reporters, anchors, production, the control room, and hirify.global and Telemundo personnel.
• Carry and operate camera equipment weighing 15–30 pounds for extended periods during remote-location assignments.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience shooting video and knowledge of live remote capabilities in a broadcast station.
• At least 3 years of experience operating IP transmission devices such as Dejero or LiveU.
• At least 3 years of experience operating communication tools, including email software, cell phones, and messaging tools.
• At least 3 years of experience editing stories.
• Must be willing to work in Needham, Massachusetts, weekends, overtime, and any 24×7 shift, and must be willing to travel.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, be at least 18 years old, submit a demo reel of own work, complete a background investigation, and accept hirify.global’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States.
• Must be able to perform medium/heavy physical work, including lifting and carrying 15–30-pound camera equipment for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Three years of photography and editing experience at a medium- or major-market TV news station.
• Knowledge of Sony cameras, Premiere editing systems, and wireless newsgathering technology.
• Spanish and English bilingual written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility, self-motivation, collaboration, creativity in storytelling with sound and images, and strong NPPA-style experience.
