Clinical Informatics Education Analyst Associate (EHR)

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain educational programs supporting adoption of electronic health records and related health information technology in patient care.
• Research, organize, write, and monitor instructional materials, including instructor and trainee guides, graphics, tutorials, references, and tests.
• Develop complex training environments and training-patient technical requirements, and evaluate trainer competency.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and collaborate with project teams to modify programs and improve learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical informatics teams across the system to optimize resources, share expertise, and improve programming across multiple sites.
• Develop and deliver training using appropriate instructional methods, adult learning principles, and approaches suited to diverse learning styles and needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, education, business, or a healthcare-related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in clinical informatics, clinical education, a relevant clinical role, or as a credentialed EHR trainer. Experience must include developing and providing subject matter expertise in collaboration on electronic health record development, education, optimization, and utilization projects.
• Must obtain Epic certification(s) or accreditation(s) required by the department within 18 months and maintain annual educational requirements.
• Knowledge of curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and measurement of training effects.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and teaching methods.
• Good written and oral communication, including strong presentation and speaking skills.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, and the ability to select appropriate training methods.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and complete assignments thoroughly and on time.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar products; knowledge of educational software and online learning techniques.
• Ability to maintain knowledge of key patient care practices, including admission, assessment, and medication distribution.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in writing; maintain focus, learn new tasks, remember processes, and make decisions.
