Clean Energy Project Management Support – Construction, Senior Specialist (Electric Vehicle Charging)

Location: Hybrid; primary work location in Pomona, California, with the role based in California and occasional work at SCE client sites throughout the service territory. Up to 10% travel and field work is required. Employees must work and reside in California unless otherwise noted. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $101,900–$152,800 per year.

What you will do

• Support pre-construction and construction planning for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty EV customer service projects across the SCE territory.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, often involving 30 or more members, and support project managers with progress reports, milestones, metrics, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder updates.
• Maintain project schedules and records using project management tools, including Microsoft Project, and serve as a subject matter expert for the relevant system of record.
• Prepare project procedures, presentations, reports, and documentation for management reviews and project-gate approvals.
• Manage selected activities for complex projects, including change orders, construction modifications, project risks, document version control, drawings, submittals, and safety plans.
• Support compliance with company procedures, construction codes, site procedures, safety protocols, cybersecurity requirements, and sensitive-data protection standards.

Requirements

• Five or more years of Project Support experience.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects or assignments concurrently with minimal oversight under tight timelines.
• Ability to build customer and stakeholder relationships, coordinate across cross-functional teams, manage risk, and deliver solutions that improve customer satisfaction and business outcomes.
• Familiarity with service planning principles, overhead and underground construction standards, and collaboration with clients, project personnel, peers, and management.
• Knowledge of project lifecycle management throughout IPSEC phases.

Nice to have

• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft SharePoint, and WorkIT.
• Three or more years of experience supporting utility, infrastructure, construction, engineering, or transportation electrification projects.
• Familiarity with SCE utility operations, EV charging infrastructure, permitting requirements, service orders, and contractor management.
