Business Process Improvement Senior Advisor (SAP/Ariba)

Location: Hybrid role based primarily in Rosemead, California, US. Employees are required to work and reside in California and report to an SCE facility for a set number of days, with remote work available on remaining days. The role may require extended work at an alternate location. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $161,700–$242,600 per year.

What you will do

• Lead projects by defining scope, budgets, timelines, teams, assignments, resources, and issues.
• Develop and implement best practices, policies, governance frameworks, and strategic plans for digital transformation of end-to-end work management processes.
• Evaluate Source-to-Pay processes, identify root causes, and implement scalable solutions that reduce cycle times, standardize execution, mitigate risk, and improve business outcomes.
• Use Lean Six Sigma, Agile, data, analytics, automation, AI, and change leadership to drive continuous improvement and sustainable adoption.
• Develop process resources, reports, KPIs, dashboards, metrics, training programs, business cases, and executive presentations.
• Build stakeholder relationships, oversee technology project prioritization, improve data quality, and support operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in business process improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, attention-to-detail, and change leadership skills, including the ability to influence without authority and translate complex challenges into practical solutions.
• Ability to protect physical, financial, cybersecurity, customer, medical, proprietary, confidential, and other sensitive information with high standards of conduct and integrity.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with S/4 HANA.
• Experience developing SharePoint solutions using PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and PowerBI.
• Utility industry or procurement consulting experience.
• Experience leading complex category management, strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and procurement transformation initiatives across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies, evaluation and negotiation frameworks, and audit-ready procurement decisions.
• Experience with Ariba Contracts, Sourcing, Buying, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance modules, and SAP Materials Management in SAP ECC.
• Five or more years of experience developing, assisting, leading, and implementing projects, initiatives, and process improvements.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies such as DMAIC and Six Sigma.
• Experience developing business cases, process documentation, dashboards, metrics, and executive presentations.
