Senior Scientist, Product Development (Semiconductor Materials)

What you will do

• Design and execute laboratory experiments involving polymer synthesis, polymer formulations, coatings, and prototype fabrication.
• Develop and evaluate materials for semiconductor cleaning, contamination control, and advanced manufacturing applications.
• Analyze and interpret mechanical, thermal, rheological, tribological, particle, and surface characterization data.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations based on experimental findings.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, marketing, scientists, engineers, technicians, and product managers.
• Support scale-up and commercialization through test methods, product specifications, critical-to-quality characteristics, incoming quality control, manufacturing specifications, laboratory documentation, safety, quality compliance, risk identification, and intellectual property activities.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated laboratory experience with material formulation, characterization, or synthesis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and experimental design skills.
• Experience with data analysis tools and statistical methods, including JMP, Minitab, or Six Sigma.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional development environment.

Nice to have

• M.S. or Ph.D. degree.
• General knowledge of AI systems and data science.
• Experience with polymers, coatings, semiconductor materials, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience authoring technical reports and presentations.
