Senior Accountant (Semiconductor Industry)

Location: San Jose, CA, United States; hybrid

Annual base salary: $125,000–$185,000, plus pre-IPO ISO options and performance bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for subsidiaries and support consolidated close activities.
• Prepare U.S. GAAP financial statements, review journal entries and reconciliations, analyze variances, and coordinate audits, financial statement reviews, and tax filings.
• Support ASC 606 revenue recognition, technical accounting memos, equity accounting, stock compensation, warrants, debt instruments, and financing transactions.
• Manage inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, reserves, excess and obsolete inventory analysis, foundry and OSAT processes, and capitalization of mask sets, tooling, software, and engineering costs.
• Design scalable internal controls, improve accounting procedures and automation, and support IPO preparation and SOX compliance initiatives.
• Serve as an ERP expert and support Sales with customer ordering and invoicing.

Requirements

• 10+ years of finance experience specifically in a fabless semiconductor environment, with understanding of hardware lifecycles and foundry costs.
• Prior Big Four public accounting experience.
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
• Exposure to IPO readiness, SOX compliance, or public company reporting.
• Experience with ERP implementations and process automation.
• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, or similar ERP platforms.
• Advanced expertise in Excel.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary and international teams.
