Associate Director, Strategy & Analytics (Pharma)

Location: Hybrid in Morristown, New Jersey; US and Puerto Rico residents only

Salary: $148,500–$214,500 per year

What you will do

• Own portfolio management and operations for the Business Modernization & Commercial Excellence agenda, including KPI frameworks, portfolio health, risks, dependencies, and strategic tradeoffs.
• Develop analytical frameworks, decision-making methodologies, strategic planning processes, dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and decision-support tools.
• Build ROI models, cost-of-inaction analyses, and value-realization tracking in partnership with Finance.
• Translate strategy, data, and analysis into executive presentations, quarterly business reviews, leadership updates, and stakeholder communications.
• Establish and manage the consulting-request intake process, including scoping, timelines, deliverables, and project offboarding.
• Lead or support change management, strategic consulting projects, innovation processes, competitive intelligence, market analysis, and data-driven process automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant professional experience, including experience at a top-tier management consulting firm such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or an equivalent.
• Track record of delivering rigorous analysis and structured recommendations in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Experience in commercial activities within the pharmaceutical industry; Vaccines experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to develop business cases, ROI models, and budget-tracking mechanisms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and experience managing complex timelines and accountability for deliverables.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with evolving priorities and scope.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across functions.

• Ability to rapidly synthesize information and produce clear, professional presentations.
• Fluency with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot and ability to integrate them independently into analytical and strategic workflows.
